In files management world, Total Commander has established its well-deserved position and inspired many to bring similar and improved managers.
EF Commander 4.15 was designed as a direct competitor for Total Commander.
The graphical user interface is similar to confusion to Total Commander interface, but that doesn't prove it hasn't its share of originality.
The new challenger brings
some very interesting and especially useful functions. The most important of them is the
integration of PDA supports with Windows CE; the files can now be accessed the same way PC files do, all you have to do is to connect the device to your computer.
If you want to put certain files on CD or DVD support, EF Commander 4.15 is smart enough to integrate Nero Burning ROM API, so any back-up is now possible from the manager's interface.
Another important function would be Kill Process, a function Linux users are familiar with and which has the same characteristics here.
As any other respectable file manager, EF Commander 4.15 has its internal archiver (which recognizes 20 formats) and an internal viewer that holds not only pictures, but also MP3, which can be useful in case you don't already have IrfanView or Winamp.
The configuration options come in a large range, plus that EF Commander 4.15 allows a lot of plug-ins to make your life easier, so the entire device turns into a sort of file managing console.
